Problems with layout and short-term fix

I am sorry that an unannounced change by Blogger.com in the way that the service handles and formats the content introduced an ugly break in the text, right after the first item title.

As a short-term solution, I have republished the site using one of Blogger.com's templates. It is not consistent with rest of the website, nor much of an improvement design-wise. The conversion back to a more standard format does allow me to incorporate comments, which were not available when I started up this blog. In any case, this site needs an overhaul, which I hope to accomplish soon.

I reget any inconvenience.

EleccionesGenerales2006.com

Elecciones Generales 2006.com is a political site that will be tracking the general elections to take place next year. It is in Spanish, but I am including it because of the growing importance of the campaign in Peru's future. The elections will pick a new president and Congress. The site has the latest opinion polls (under Encuestas), if you want to believe in that kind of tea leaf reading.

I dont't know César Pereira Díaz so I can tell you who is behind the site. It is taking banner ads so it seems to be a commercial venture. We'll see how it performs over the coming months.
