Peruvian Poetry Translations
Another poet who earns his living as a journalist. He edited an influenctial Sunday magazine, Carballo Rojo. He is one of the warmest people I know, with a quiet wit that simmers under his deadpan face. His poems are sparse and intimate. He's now teaching at San Marcos University.
When I worked in Peru in 1994, I met his son, a journalism student. It was like meeting Marco reincarnated.
