Since 1999 , I worked on a wide range of sites, in addition to this one. All site owners were generous in giving me a chance to learn from their needs. At times, I've not actively pursued outside consulting because of my Masters studies (2001-2003) and other professional commitments.
Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD): I joined CICAD in 2005. Needless to day, the web constitutes the primary means distributing information among 34 governments, their specialized agencies and other stakeholders.
Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL): I worked at CITEL as its information officer for 15 months in 2000-2001. One of my tasks was to take a site that started as a FrontPage creature and turned into a monster, and make it a more useful part of CITEL's work. I converted all English and Spanish content to the new design, and it still converses that layout and functionality.
John Pike: Carrying on with a collaboration started at the Federation of American Scientists (see below), I have been helping John Pike start up his site, Global Security.org.
Federation of American Scientists: For 18 months, I had a working relationship with FAS as a web developer. It poses some interesting design challenges because it is a huge site. Each project leader, however, had freedom to customize his/her subsite. FAS provided my learning opportunity for web development. I got a chance to learn the initial lessons of working on the Web. My collaboration with them is now ended.
Peter Katel: I designed, host and maintain a website for a friend and journalist. I've known Peter since he was a Newsweek correspondent and covered the 1990 presidential election in Peru.
Thrive Yoga: I host the website and provide services updating and maintaining the site, and have contributed photographs and other stylistic touches.
Redgate Farms Community Association: my residential neigbhorhood association is starting up a website to distribute news to its members. So far this is a very simple site that I am hosting for free.
Personal Sites:PranaJournal is an active blog and resource stie about yoga, self-discovery and creativity. BackdoorTech.com holds material that I pulled together for my graduate degree (currently out of commission).
