Financial Times Peru and US in united stand on terrorism
: "Discussions scheduled for the 17-hour Bush visit are expected to focus on proposed renewal and extension of the Andean Trade Preference Act, ATPA, which benefits the four countries of the region with tariff-free exports to the US for more than 6,000 products. Mr Bush has thrown his personal weight behind renewal, but Mr Toledo said he and his Andean partners want to go 'beyond ATPA.' They have asked Mr Bush to consider 'a bilateral trade and investment initiative for the Andean region,' Mr Toledo said." I missed this story a few days ago.
